The organization had a lack on their Decision Making level. Their typical ERP system provided neither analytical capability nor full flexibility for analysis regarding their sales data. This solution filled this gap providing extensive support for better decision making and increasing market share and revenues.

Solution Summary
This solution covers several aspects of enhanced Sales & Marketing Management for increasing revenues and market shares. You will be able to analyze your sales & marketing data and make better decisions that will empower the customer relationship management. Better process management is achieved trough the analytical capabilities about sales & marketing results. This BI solution is based on the following data marts: Customers, Markets, Products, Billing, Commercial Agents and Human Resources. The data comes from company’s ERP to the data warehouse trough an ETL process based on MS-Excel (automated with VBA code). The information cubes are generated from the data warehouse schema and provides information off-line cubes for using with MS-Excel. The core technologies are analysis interfaces developed with resources from MS-Excel, MS-Data Analyzer and MS-MapPoint and the data warehouse / information cubes hosted by MS-SQL-Server 2000 / Analysis Services. The desktop operating system is Windows XP and the server is Windows Server 2003. The ERP is based on Progress database and is used in large scale at the Brazilian market. The whole process was designed for six sigma level thus providing a very reliable solution. MS-Project is used to keep tracking of project progress. MS-Outlook and MS-Exchange is used as the main platform for Messaging and Collaboration. MS-Powerpoint is used for both static and dynamic presentations. MS-Word is used for both static and dynamic reports. MS-Frontpage is used to update and create new pages for the intranet. MS-Office Web Components is used for dynamic cubes interaction via intranet. MS-Internet Information Server is used to host the company's intranet.
